Mizwarts, 7"Ask her!" Courfeyrac ordered.
"I don't think I can."
"That wasn't a suggestion!"
"I cannot possibly ask her "
"Jehan!" Marc called. "Problem!"
Prouvaire looked up from his poem. "What is it, Courfeyrac?"
Marc explained to Jehan, finishing with, " and this idiot, for no reason other than his idiocy, cannot ask her!"
Jehan frowned. "Marc, I cannot help with idiocy, you know that. Once your problems start involving love, then I will be able to assist you."
Courfeyrac's expression turned sly, as he and Jehan walked away.
"You know," Hermione said (she and Combeferre were studying together), "you really should ask her. I honestly think she likes you."
Every boy within earshot (save for Combeferre, of course, as he was thrilled to be with Hermione) immediately became jealous of Jean Valjean.
"I think Miss Fantine's a Veela," one boy whispered.
"No, she's far too sweet for that," another whispered back. "Have you ever seen her lose her temper?"
"Hmm. Good point."
